The story behind Montale

Founder Pierre Montale discovered his love for perfume during his years in the Middle East, where he created fragrances for royal circles. Back in Paris, he gathered that inspiration in his own perfume house, which was founded in 2003. Montale thus became one of the first French houses to bring oud, or agarwood, to the West, an ingredient that remains the brand's signature to this day.
